Nursing is changing at a rapid pace and keeping up with the issues can be a challenge. The 2017 ANA- Illinois Professional Issues Conference is a one of a kind event that brings the membership together with the association leadership to discuss issues of importance to the profession. This is a unique opportunity to meet with the strategic leadership of the organization as well as the nurses practicing at the bedside from all over the state of Illinois.

Knowledge of the issues occuring in the nursing profession is just the start of finding a solution. Together we can continue to create the change to improve the quality of health care for all.

Study after study has demonstrated the relationship between nurse staffing levels and patient outcomes. This presentation identifies actions nurses can take to support safe staffing and discusses ANA’s work to promote health care quality through safe, ethical work environments for nurses.
