  • Nurse executives will intentionally recruit, hire, support, and promote historically and systematically marginalized employees into leadership roles.

Strengthen Equity

  • Illinois schools of nursing will include an anti-racist framework in their curriculum
  • Nursing Institutions will review institutional systems to improve retention of historically and systematically marginalized individuals in nursing practice and education
  • Schools of nursing will support the scholarly work of historically and systematically marginalized individuals in nursing
  • Decrease disparities in healthcare access and outcomes for historically and systematically marginalized individuals and communities
  • Illinois’ most vulnerable populations will receive FDA approved COVID-19 immunizations

Optimize Inclusion

  • Academic writing teams for papers and grants will include historically and systematically marginalized individuals
  • ANA-Illinois will be a hub of information for LGBTQ+ practitioners and patients in Illinois.
