Tamara Bland EdD, MSN, BSN, RN

Tamara Bland, EdD, MSN, RN has 21 years of healthcare experience. She is a full-time Assistant Professor and Director, RN – BSN Program at Dominican University. Tamara earned her EdD in Educational Leadership in 2019 from St. Francis University in Joliet, IL. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing Education in 2010 from Resurrection University, Oak Park, IL. Tamara received her Bachelors of Nursing from Concordia University/West Suburban College of Nursing, Oak Park, IL in 1999.

Tamara has spent many years as a staff nurse on medical/surgical, gastroenterology, and intensive care units. She also works as a Home Health Nurse. A proponent of giving back to the profession of nursing, Tamara served as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs at Resurrection University an upper-division school of nursing, facilitating learning for undergraduate nursing students. As a nurse, she focuses on working with marginalized communities providing patient education, and empowering families to participate in their plan of care.
