IANE MIG BANNER V2

Illinois Alliance of Nursing Education

A new community for nurse educators in Illinois is here.

Overview
The Nursing Education Mutual Interest Group, Illinois Alliance of Nursing Education, brings nurse educators together to strengthen nursing education across the state. This group connects academic faculty, clinical educators, education leaders, and students who share a commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and advocacy.

Purpose
The MIG unites nurse educators around shared priorities. You shape solutions. You share expertise. You help guide the future of nursing education in Illinois. The group supports collaboration, leadership development, and coordinated advocacy aligned with ANA Illinois priorities.

Why This Matters
Nursing education faces real challenges. Faculty shortages persist. Clinical placement access remains limited. Regulatory and legal expectations continue to change. Educators need a strong, organized voice.

This MIG helps ANA Illinois by doing the following:

  • It strengthens connections across academic and practice settings.
  • It elevates educator perspectives in policy and advocacy discussions.
  • It supports innovation in teaching, simulation, and workforce preparation.
  • It builds a leadership pipeline for future nurse educators and academic leaders.

When educators work together, the profession grows stronger. Students benefit. Communities benefit.
