One only needs to watch the news or read a newspaper to know how prevalent sexual harassment is in the workplace. And this unfortunate societal issue carries into healthcare workplaces. In response to this current state of affairs, the Illinois State legislature passed a law in 2018 requiring all licensed professionals who are required to have continuing education to obtain 1 hour of continuing education on sexual harassment beginning January 2020 license renewal.

This program will include:

  • the definition of sexual harassment
  • your rights and responsibilities regarding sexual harassment
  • what to do if you are a victim of or witness to harassment of another

This event offers 1.0 continuing education credit.

The Illinois Nurse Foundation is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91).
