Members of the American Nurses Association Illinois elected a strong group of nurse leaders for 2025. Each individual brings current practice experience, policy involvement, and service to the profession in Illinois.
PRESIDENT
W. Zeh Wellington, DNP, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Director of Nursing for Surgical Services, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, was elected for a second term as President of ANA-Illinois.
SECRETARY
Gloria E. Barrera, MSN, RN, PEL-CSN, Co-Director of the RN to BSN Program, University of Illinois Chicago, and Certified School Nurse, Community High School District 99, was elected for a second term as Secretary.
DIRECTORS
Casey Green, MSN, RN, CCRN-CMC, CTRN, CFRN, CEN, TCRN, CPEN, CNRN, NRP, External Transfer Center Nurse Coordinator, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, was elected Director.
Casey Ketchum, MSN, RN, Nurse House Supervisor, Loyola Medicine, was elected Director.
ANA MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY REPRESENTATIVES
Claudia Choe, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, Adjunct Clinical Faculty, Elmhurst University, was elected ANA Membership Assembly Representative.
Jameszetta James, EdD, MJ, MSN, RN, ASC-BC, ACM-RN, Adjunct Professor, National Louis University, and Basic Nurse Assistant Lecturer, Malcolm X College, was elected ANA Membership Assembly Representative.
Stephanie Mendoza, DNP, MSN, RN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, Clinical Nurse Consultant II, UI Health, was elected Alternate ANA Membership Assembly Representative.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Feyi Sangoleye, PhD, RN, University of Illinois Hospital and Healthcare Systems, Chicago, was elected to the Nominating Committee.
Giovanna Zito, MSN, RN, CMSRN, AMHFA, Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Rush Medical Group, was elected to the Nominating Committee.
