Nurses Day at the Capitol 2026: Advocate and Impact Healthcare Policy

Join us for a pivotal day of advocacy! Nurses from all backgrounds are invited to unite at the Nurses Day at the Capitol. This vital annual event serves as a platform for you to engage directly with key health policy issues and voice your perspectives to shape the future of nursing.

Schedule:

9:00 am – Registration Opens
9:30 am – 12:30 pm – Advocacy/Grassroots Update
12:30pm – Lunch
1:30pm – Leave for Capitol visits

Throughout the day, you’ll have the unique opportunity to:

  • Learn about the 2026 Legislative Priorities from the ANA-Illinois and ISAPN Boards of Directors.
  • Discuss critical issues with legislators in Springfield or your local district offices.
  • Network during a complimentary lunch before heading to the Capitol to engage with elected officials personally.
  • Hear from a panel of Nurses running for the Illinois House and Senate
