ANA-Illinois is proud to present the webinar: Preparing Nurses in Illinois to Address Health Effects of Climate Change – Part II: Vectorborne Diseases, Flooding, and Mental Health.
According to the National Climate Assessment, temperatures are rising, extreme precipitation is increasing, and air quality is worsening in the Midwest. As a result, there is an increased risk of heat-related illness, mold exposure, mental health distress, injuries, fatalities, exacerbated respiratory health conditions, and vector borne diseases. Nurses can play an essential role in addressing the health effects from climate, but there is a gap in knowledge and awareness among nurses. This webinar will give participants the unique opportunity to gain knowledge to understand the impacts of climate change on human health and the specialty of nurses.
This program will be presented by: Elena Grossman, MPH.
Webinar link will be sent upon registration.
1-hour continuing education will be available.
