Registration is now open for the 2023 Nurses Day at the Capitol. Nurses from across Illinois will meet in Springfield, Illinois, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, to learn about nursing issues and identify opportunities to influence healthcare policy.

The advocacy-focused event is hosted by the Illinois Nurses Grassroots Coalition, founded in 2015 by ANA-Illinois and the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses (ISAPN).

2023 Nursing Legislation

Nurses learn about the 2023 legislative priorities to advance nursing in Illinois during this critical event. Then nurses receive guidance on how to best advocate for nursing priorities with their Illinois Representative and Senator.

Finally, participants head to the Capitol to meet with Illinois legislators and implement their learning!

The grassroots advocacy skills nurses learn during this one-day event can be used with elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels.

2.5 contact hours are available for this event.
